This is the first book I've read in this series. While the book started out with a bang, it definitely slowed down significantly after about the first four chapters. The story line became fairly predictable and a bit melodramatic. I did like the family relationships between the brothers in the book, but I never actually bought into the depth of the whole relationship between Sam and Sophie. While this was an entertaining read, I'm not sure I'll rush out to find any of the others in this series.
