Sally Jay Gorce talks her uncle into sending her to Paris for two years, where she dyes her hair pink, takes a married lover, becomes an actress and muse, and finds herself in the middle of a bit of international intrigue. It's hard to believe that this book was written 50 years ago (1958)! Sally Jay seems so modern and fresh! She's a madcap cross between Holly Golightly and Holden Caulfield, a naif and a wild child - but wholly endearing. A fun read!
