I was looking forward to this...and I was disappointed. I had to push myself to read past the first few chapters.
Eventually, I did develop a mild interest in a few of the characters, but not enough to read the next book.
One thing I particularly did not find humorous or interesting was the protagonists self-flagellation, and allowing others to treat her the way she saw herself...as a fat, middle-aged, grin-and-bear-the-a$$holes kind of person who was desperate for any attention or kindness.
If any of you are in that boat, I sincerely hope that you will change your words and be kinder to yourself. It starts with appreciating and respecting yourself, everything you've been through, and everything you've accomplished.
And Ms. Wilde...it's not funny.
