So good that I'm keeping it!

Really, this was one of my favorite Miles Vorkosigan stories to date in an exceptional series. Miles finally begins to know himself and like what he finds. Miles must face himself after being discharged from ImpSec after falsifying documentation to secure his position with the Dendarii fleet. If he flees Barrayar to return to his identity as Admiral Naismith, he will be charged with treason and lose his connections to Barrayar forever. Even his parents are betting that the pull of the Little Admiral is too strong for him to resist. Miles has faced all kinds of dangers and challenges, but never faced himself like this before. He is having an identity crisis.

All the orbitting characters are advanced as well, especially Simon Illyan, who shares the spotlight with Miles in this story. Simon Illyan loses his memory chip, and also suffers an identity crisis of his own. It is this crisis that helps Miles reconcile his two identities at long last.

I also enjoyed Mile's interactions with Ivan and Gregor. Really, everyone is coming into their own.
