The Last Resort

Shooting on location at the lush Far Horizons beach resort on Rattlesnake Key, Clyde Colby, host of Miami's hit cooking show Gourmet Galley, discovers getting out of the kitchen is too hot to handle. Never mind the sumptuous dishes prepared by guest chef Henri Doucette, or any number of glamorous guests, it's the dead CEO that greets her upon arrival that nearly kills her appetite. Several more "accidents" push Clyde's investigative instincts into overdrive. The involvement of certain locals in the hotel's interests is strange, as is the behavior of the owner himself. Clyde knows Chef Coucette's cuisine is to die for, but between mouthfuls of conch fritters and key lime pie, she discovers the real crime is far from good taste, smothered in the dark truths of a conspiracy steeped in money, murder and the kind of sharks that aren't served with dilled hollandaise.

"This book is a nonstop fun ride through mayhem, delectable menu items and some delightfully quirky romance neatly mixed together in a deliciously malicious treat. Don't miss it. Don't even be late."
