I picked up this book because I was 85 pgs into a book which was part of a series and had a long waiting list, although I couldn't get into the book. This book, however, caught my attention immediately. It is a family story, set on the coast in Mass, what I wouldn't do for a house on the beach....It goes back and forth between present and the 1960's, when big changes caused a division in the family which lasted for decades. Book is well written, characters are well-fleshed.
