"Heat Lightning" by John Sandford as an audiobook is worthwhile, easy listening for those of you who enjoy the crime novel genre. The fast-moving story-line is complex and far-reaching with international implications. This is Sandford's second installment featuring wise-cracking, hard-working Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension agent, Virgil Flowers. Once again, he is ever intelligent and insightful and not afraid to "think outside the box" in order to assemble the bits and pieces of evidence in order to come up with a plausible solution to the criminal activity he is investigating. Award-winning audiobook reader, Eric Conger, is adept at channeling Flowers' in all his moods. I'm giving "Heat Lightning" 8 stars.
