-I haven't read a book by Dr Mabry in quite a while. I guess medical type books I have to take in doses:) But this one really sounded interesting so I wanted to try it out. And I was not disappointed at all! A good murder mystery combined with some romance and the story of a woman finding her faith.

The book opens with a murder and within about 3 chapters the murder numbers climb. Or should I say the dead people keep piling up. And in the midst of them all happens to be a doctor, the one who should be saving these people. Needless to say, Shannon feels like a failure when she can't help them. One of which happens to be killed on her front lawn. I really liked Shannon overall. At times I didn't care for her attitude with Mark(her almost fiancee), and her younger sister. I think she was leading Mark on when she wasn't even sure she could marry him. But I also feel for her and the situation she was put in. The attitude with her sister made me sympathize with the younger sister instead of feeling pity for Shannon.

The books moves steadily and I read it in one day. Yep, even included staying up a little late:) This is a book for people who don't mind a bit of bloodshed, suspense and romance. Thoroughly enjoyed this one!

I received a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review. All thoughts are 100% mine.
