Find Momo Coast to Coast a most impressive photo-travelogue. Photographer Andrew Knapp loaded up his VW van and drove a circuitous route from New England to his home in Sudbury, Ontario, coming close to crossing North America twice on his journey. He has captured the trip in a unique and wonderful series of photos.

The photographs selected for this collection include some tourist attractions, and some off the beaten track areas. ALL feature his border collie, Momo, hiding somewhere in the shot. In some cases desert photos, for example it's not too difficult to pick Momo out. In others crowd shots, especially it can be quite difficult. I found carrying a magnifying glass was a necessity while looking over this volume. (Yes, each section does begin with a little prose and a few other snapshots, in which Momo is either not hiding or is absent altogether, but those are not the focus of the book.)

There was one aspect of the formatting which I did not like in the book, each image takes up a full page (again, excepting the intro to each section), until the Answer Key in the back where each photo is reproduced in miniature and Momo's location is identified. That aspect is fine, but it isn't until you reach this postscript that the LOCATION of each photo is identified, as well. I would STRONGLY have preferred a caption at the bottom of each page, identifying the location. While one may make the case that guessing the locale is another aspect of Finding Momo, I reserve the right to disagree.

The book is still an incredible collection and is highly recommended. Bring a magnifying glass with you while you review it.
