Disappointed! I read the first in the series and loved it. Now comes the second and I felt let down. Maybe it was because the book I finished before this one was soo good but I don't think so. Is this read ok? Yes, but not as good as the first one.

I do like Miss Kopp and her sisters but their troubles are the same. She does make deputy in this one and it is based on historical fact which is a redeeming feature. Loved the picture in the back of Miss Kopp and the explanations by the author. And, it is a quick read. So what was wrong with this one? I'm not really sure. I just know that it left me flat. Will I read the next one in the series? I don't know at this point. DH liked it but he, too, said the first one was really much better. Can I recommend it? All I can say is read it for yourself and make your own call. Different books for different folks.
