About this title: Prudence Beck is in a dilemma. Her new husband has been hanged as a horse thief and she is alone on the brink of motherhood. The majestic Washington Territory beckons, and Prudence soon finds herself the somewhat unwelcome guest of Jonathan Hartwell, a rugged lumberman. His wife died after the birth of their child and his now four-year-old daughter hungers for the warmth of a mother's love. Prudence feels that she can provide the love they both need . . . if only Jonathan will look through the "eyes of his heart".
