Jenna is introduced in the previous breed book called "Shades of Midnight". She wakes up from being tortured, in Boston,in a strange place, and smack dab in the middle of a vampire war. Then she learns that the bad vampire implanted something in her neck and the good vampires don't have a clue to what that means. Brock, a warrior of The Order, has been protecting and taking care of her since Alaska. He is fighting feelings for her, she is fighting feelings for him, on top of all the fighting with the vampire war. This book kept me coming back for more. It kind of ended with an unknown for Jenna though. I don't want to give too much away.
