I used this 3rd edition (printed in 2000) for my 2007 baby shopping and it was a great guide. I saved myself a lot of money, especially when it came to baby gear. I am extremely pleased with all of my large item purchases and I couldn't be happier that I skipped the huge travel system strollers! My friends are quite envious of my Graco car seat and the Snap-n-Go stroller I use. (I have a Maclaren stroller, too. All drive better than any travel system stroller!)
This book talks a lot more about life with a baby than just products. There are tips on what to do with pets when you first bring baby home and how to childproof your house later. Honestly, this book was the BEST for making sure none of our purchases were a frivilous waste!
