Interesting stories and anecdotes from Mr. Cronkite's life, especially from WWII through the politics of the 1960's and 70's. Includes several stories about his interviewees and friendships with notable figures, celebrities and politicians, as part of his career with CBS. It was most interesting to learn details about the history of the time period since that was all taking place as I was growing up and as a kid, wasn't really paying that much attention to the news. So unless you have an interest in the time period, I can't imagine, for example, my own kids taking an interest in reading this--though it would be an easy read for a book report or biography assignment. His writing style is very casual and like listening to your grandfather
