Book Review of Bobbi Brown Beauty

Bobbi Brown Beauty
reviewed This Book Should be Called, " A Pre-Teen's Guide to Make-Up for Beginners." on

This book might work for someone over the age of 13 if: a. said person had never heard of make-up before b. never had a relative who wore make-up c. had never shopped at a make-up counter, drugstore, or Sephora or d. woke up from a coma after 15 years and still thought blue mascara was a good idea.

But if you already wear make-up and know a thing or two about it, you may want to pass on this book. I am not a make-up artist, but I know a few things about what to put on my face and let me tell you; I didn't learn one single new thing from this book. If you're looking for a make-up book with new, inventive, artistic, creative ideas, you should try one of Kevin Aucoins books. Some of Bobbi's tips include; try brown mascara, wash your face every day and use shaving cream when you shave your legs. Duh!

But, if you are one of the few people who are looking for a make-up book for your pre-teen who will soon be old enough to wear her own lip gloss, you may want to try this book. Then, in a few years, you can take the training wheels off and get a REAL make-up book!
