Having not read the previous books in this series I was not sure how much I would like this one. I was pleasantly surprised when I found that Jack was a very personable. The author made me want to get to know him better and to find out why he stuck with Falcon when Falcon for sure didn't seem to want his help.

The characters where very well fleshed out and you got to know them all very well. You knew where each one of them was coming from and how their past fit into this story. You got to know them just enough to want to know them better and to route for the good guys and hope that the bad guys came to a bad end.

There was just enough back story to see how this book fit into the series but not so much that you felt like you were reading two different books at the same time..

And the action kept on coming at just the right time to make me want to keep on reading the next paragraph much less the whole book. I found myself reading late into the night in order to find out what was going to happen next.
