I'm not sure how to describe this book other than I really enjoyed it! I'm now reading her 2nd book which was just released. A Seal has to come home to deal with his 4 yr old son after the kid's mother dies. The kid's mother basically made it impossible for him to see his son when he wasn't on duty so he pretty much had been sending child support. the mom dies and her mother wants to continue the same arrangement only she's trying to get full custody when he takes an interest in being more involved in his son's life. He doesn't know how to relate to his son and during a hurricane Pickett helps him (she's a therapist)and the two fall in love but Pickett doesn't like/understand his need to be a Seal. Mostly deals with the two of them and the legal drama with his son and emotional stuff then of course there's a test of faith near the end where his 'seal-ness' gets to shine! I think this is a bit different from most Seal romances in that there's really not a whole lot of fighting/physical danger/excessive macho-ness per se. Overall a good read and I can see myself re-reading this one sometime.
