A series of short truish stories (at least to the best of the authors memory he openly admits). This book is not for the timid or someone who wants an idealized version of WWII. It is raw in its description of his time as a navigator on bombers; of the atrocities he and others committed. He also shows the humanity that was stripped from him and others in war. He is also very frank and open in his discussion of sex. If you blush easily, I do not recommend this book for you. As the foul language, and vivid descriptions of sex and violence are throughout his stories. With all that said I highly recommend this book.
