The most interesting aspect of this cookbook was the inclusion of amazing facts about spam by the author. To hear him tell it, Spam saved the world during and after World War II. The author drew on his experiences in the Navy and as a sportsman to create some unusual spam dishes. He often used the campfire technique of placing spam and other ingredients in an aluminum foil wrapper to cook the items over the fire.

People looking for a quick meal will be interested in the variety of spam wraps the author prepares for fishing trips. There are no photos or nutritional information.
