Beautiful book, beautiful characters, beautiful story. Makes me want to go to West Ireland. Flowers and music intertwine throughout the story. So beautifully written. Iris, a gardener and recent widow, and her daughter Rose, a violinist in London, go on a journey of discovery. Iris learns to love again when she has a cancer scare, goes to Boston to find Rose's birth mother and instead meets a new man. Rose has a master concert that doesn't go well but she learns to find her passion again. And also meets a man. And then there is a third man, a New Yorker, who we see in some chapters and eventually learn is the birth father. The story takes us to a meeting of all of them in a beautiful, heartfelt way. Stunning. Tugs at your heartstrings.
