The first book, by Margaret Daley, "Christmas Stalking" is very good. Love the characters, the plot & action move right along. The who did it and why I didn't figure it out.

The second book, by Mary Ellen Porter, "Off the Grid Christmas" took quite a while to warm up to. I absolutely did not like the main character at all. She was wicked annoying, actually. I came just this close to pitching it, but for some reason decided I'd give it a few more pages and I am glad I did. After some clear reasons for the way she acted were revealed, I settled right in with it. So, give this book a good 40 page read before you decide you want to not finish. I gave the entire book 3 1/2 stars just because this second one was hard to get into.
