Not your standard Enid Blyton mystery. This book is all about pixies and brownies and the faraway tree that when climbed (against the advice of the brownies) can take you to perilous other lands (but sometimes fun too). Very British. I gave it to my 75 year old mom to read and she loved it. Guess it was a blast from the past for her since she is British born and raised. I thought it was rather a bit long myself.
