The Wings is a retirement home for down and out actresses. All they want is a solarium; the governing board says NO! Concurrently witty and sad, juvenile and churlish, these former belles will not be outdone. This is partly of how the board gets outfoxed; partly about the loneliness of old age; partly of not letting go of the past. Its one of Cowards most profound and dramatic plays.
