Book Review of Off the Rails: Aboard the Crazy Train in the Blizzard of Ozz

Off the Rails: Aboard the Crazy Train in the Blizzard of Ozz
reviewed on

This is a great book filled with a lot of details about what life was like, both on the road and off, for a major professional bass player, Rudy Sarzo, and his experiences with Ozzy Osbourne, his bandmates, especially guitarist Randy Rhoads, and the "Osbourne Musical Machine." The detailed stories are informative and funny at times and also extremely sad due to the passing of Randy Rhoads in a small plane crash that killed three people. Rudy displays a great memory of the events and lovingly shares his friendship with one of the best guitarists in rock history. The only negative in the book is a few typos here and there. However, if you are a fan of Randy Rhoads or the early Ozzy Osbourne Band, you will love this book.
