Dan Brown meets James Rollins in "The Messiah Secret". This book has all the world-hopping action of a Rollins thriller and all the religious overtones of a Brown novel.
Three seperate groups of adventurers travel the world in search of a treasure they are prepared to kill, and die, for. And they really don't know exactly what they are looking for. As usual, when they find it, it is not what they expected.
The characters are not particularly well developed but the action is hard hitting and furious. The plot is pretty much formula but the kicker at the end makes this a good read...well worth the time.
It is good enough to prompt me to read another James Becker novel in the future.
