The entire Christy Miller series is a must read for any coming-of-age girl, starting with Summer Promise. Robin Jones Gunn does an excellent job portraying the turmoil of a 14-year-old girl. In Summer Promise, Christy explores many avenues before finding the true path to inner peace.
