I like this (SRA) better than other 4th grade texts because it actually has stories about California in it, which is what we are expected to teach in 4th grade (although not to test on, hence it gets left out Includes a section on the Island of the Blue Dolphins, a Gold Rush Era story, a Covered Wagon story, and a Hollywood story.
