I've really liked the Honorverse novels for quite a while now, and this one really didn't disappoint, and reaches up to the top tier of the Honorverse collection. I mean, sheesh. This was a lot of pages, and boy, I sure didn't notice them fly by. A book that can do that for me truly is top-tier.
The ending was a disappointment, however. I'm really ready to go back to "episodic" style storytelling. This "end the book without a conclusion" trend just gets on my nerves, and is really the only reason this one didn't get the full five stars. I really did like the book. I really like the evolution of the universe that transpired here. But damn it, at least give me a *slight* conclusion. All we got here was cliffhanger.
