Brittni (bookwormbrittni) - reviewed on 8/26/2010

This was the first bi-racial lesbian novel and it is also the first lesbian novel written by a Black woman. For this reason alone, being such a groundbreaking "first," it is worth reading. The story is good, but the writing could be better. I found the sex scenes to be a bit overly cheesy and therefore unbelievable. I read this novel in my college gender class, and being a short, quick read, it was definitely one of the better on the list.
