A little slow and somewhat dependent on your knowledge of past Kallerman books. For instance, the reader knows something catastrophic has happened to the teenagers Caleb and Jasmine in the past but "what" is never explained. Kellerman just assumes you've read about it in one of her previous novels.
Pete and Rina, Marge and Scott (delightfully familiar)get to work on an unusual case as skillfully as always.
I am a fan of her books but this is not the best.
