It may be my own fault that I didn't fully enjoy this listen as I had not read or heard book one. It was much longer and more complicated than my usual audio taste. I use audio books to keep me working on tasks I don't enjoy. If you are looking for something to completely focus on while listening this may be great for that end. It's sweeping historical fiction set in jazz age NYC with horror and paranormal elements. I had trouble keeping all the characters straight and didn't like Evie the Sweetheart Seer. It could be a good choice for a long daytime car ride.
