Ruddy is an interesting character. In line to become a football star that ends up in jail instead because he drove his car into the lake and his passenger died. He serves a bit of time and now does repo's and helps his sister run her bar by being her bouncer. He is engaged and trying to live out his life as best he can when he learns the gal in his back seat that drowned may not have been in the back seat when he drove into the lake. He begins to investigate. Meanwhile his fiance decides she needs to get a place of her own and find herself. Everything is in flux and Ruddy has to keep a level head - even when an overzealous policeman who hates him watches for every opportunity to give him a ticket, warranted or not. Hope there is a 3rd addition as I like the character and the writing.
