This is one of those rare kid's books that I enjoy more than my daughter. The illustrations are beatnik-cool and the text is sparse, just 124 words but 9 of those are "Be-Bop." Part of the fun is in the reading. I do a dynamic rendering complete with scatting, snapping, a cappella embellishments that complement the fine illustrations and breezy rhymes. Buy it, read it, sing it, perform it!
