The conversational style of this book makes for an easy read. I like the characters of Evie Blackwell and David Marshall portrayed in it and feel as though I would know them if I met them on the street. The cases these two are working on are intriguing yet believable and the supporting characters of their friends and love interests have a decidedly Christian slant without being overly preachy but not insignificant either. Their relationships outside of work are still left hanging which begs another book in the series.
