First of all I didn't really want to read this book but I work at a used bookstore and we are asked for this every day. My boss and I thought it would be a good idea to read this to see what it was about and if parents asked us about it we could inform them properly. So my boss and I tossed a coin and I lost.

It only took my two days to read this book, not because it was that intersting that I became engrossed but because I would skim the pages. After reading the first few chapters it was evident to me that Bella would always complain and be in trouble and Edward the vampire would always save her. Knowing that I really didn't need to read every line. Also I didn't see any depth with these characters in her book to me they were very flat. The book was very predictable and by the end of the story I didn't see the point of reading the other three books. In my opinion Myers could have just wrote the one book and it would tell the story of Edward and Bella. One last note the leading lady Bella isn't a very strong role model for young girls; she is whinny, complains too much, builds her happiness around everyone else and depends on too many people to save her. I am honestly convinced she can't make a decision about anything with out consulting everyone she knows.
