Great book by Stephen Carter.

Great journey from the mid-50's to the mid-70's including lots of political intrigue, the civil rights movement, Vietnam. The main characters are very well drawn and believable.

We learn the facts about the underlying "mystery" right along side the main characters - no sneak peeks from the narrator! You'll be left guessing right until the end about who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.
