Private Investigator Diana Belmaine is searching for a thief. A priceless piece of art has been stolen. The hunt leads her to Dr. Jack Austin, an archeology professor who is a pillar of the community...and also guilty as sin. Jack is used to living on the edge and is drawn to beautiful Diana who could expose his secret and ruin his reputation. He should keep his distance, but she is a risk he can't resist.
This story started off slow but I'm glad I stuck with it. I really liked Jack. This book had me wondering how the author was going to get him out of the mess he got himself into. Diana was an interesting heroine. She had been burned once before by a man who used her for illegal gains and she was going to make sure it didn't happen again. My rating: 4 Stars.
