Reyn is a hairdresser with a nose for trouble. When one of her clients (Lexa) calls her in the middle of the night with a hair emergency of her socialite mother, Reyn agrees to assist. Instead shes faced with a corpse whos face is painted up like a clown and hair standing staight up in the air like Frankenstein. When the cops bust in, Reyn is immediately arrested for the murder. But Jackson releases her after the hairbrained story, and Reyn decides to do some investigating of her own to clear her friend's name. Reyns adventures include a drug bust at a night club on 6th Street in Austin, A Junior League meeting at a fancy hotel, and getting stuck at the top of a roller coaster at Fiesta TX in SanAntonio. Her friends always seem to dress her in the most gawd-awful attire.

In all honesty, Im glad this series is over with.
While I struggled through the first book, this second in series was a bit better. The main charactr, Reyn is too nice to people which can get irritating, she's a bit dim witted and too trusting. However when it comes to the sexy cop Jackson Skythe, she gets a sassy mouth. Theres a little to much character whiplash going on. The author spent a bit too much time with Reyns thoughts which made the story drag. I was able to guess the killer pretty easy. The end of the story left a cliffhanger, but like I stated before, Im glad the series is done because there hasnt been another book written in this series in 5 years.
