Once again a good story about Roger Chapman and several murders. This time, it's at home in Bristol, where he lives with his wife, three children and former mother-in-law. Okay, the former MIL has her own place now.

However, you either have to be either new to mysteries or not thinking while reading if you don't figure out the identity of at least one of the killers before Roger exposes them.

Even Roger is arrested at least once. Fortunately, one of his old friends gets into trouble and, as a result, affords Roger an unassailable alibi.

Finally, if I were Roger, I wouldn't eat the Lammas bread in the crock. And the children do get a dog, while the family gets a much needed relo.
