Ah, it's the law of the universe (the PBS universe, that is). For once it's a snap to order all the books in a series at once - and then of course you find out you don't care to finish them all. That was the case here. Fired up by good reviews, I got them all lined up before I started reading the first. I really expected to like this series! I think it may actually be pretty decent. But the author's dogged attempt to reproduce a dialect just completely gets in the way of the story for me. It's such a tough slog because of the language that I couldn't even get halfway through the first book in the series.
