This is a great modern-day spin on the old Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde tale. I wasn't a fan of the old tale by any means but Fantaskey's retelling of it through descendants was exciting. Jill Jekel's father was murdered and her college tuition money - well, it is gone. Tristen Hyde is searching for a cure to his family's illness that he fears is taking him over with each passing day. The duo sets off to cure Tristen and get Jill the tuition money she so desperately needs.
The plot is electrifying, pulling you along the twisting adventures of this young duo. Fantaskey shocks you with the turn of each page, keeping you on the edge of your seat, waiting to find out what will happen next. Will they cure Tristen? Will Jill get the college tuition she needs? Better yet, will they find out who killed her father? And why? The bond between Jill and Tristen was well deverloped and emotional. If the drama doesn't get you wrapped up in the characters, the romance sure will.
