I really like David Weber's series and all the side books he puts out to expand the characters in the books of the story line and to move the story along from different perspectives.

It has been awhile since I have read most or all of the books in the series so it was a little slow going for me to think back and catch up where I was left off in the series. When everything clicked back into place the story took off for me.

If you are at all into the maturing of themes, plots and characters, this book really shows that off for Honor, Elizabeth, Michelle, Eloise and others, as well as for the many themes and sub-plots that have been going on.

I knew I was coming to the end of the book (could not put it down) and wondering how it would end...but never expected what I read on the last page. Don't get me wrong, the ending was GREAT. Weber does set the stage for a 90 degree turn. The next book will have new allies and new villains, but this has been coming for at least the past 2 novels.

This book and its ending left me wanting MORE, SOON. And, I know SOON isn't going to happen, sadly.
