Lord Edmund Waite and Lady Mary Gregg burn up the pages! This is easily my favorite of all of Mary Balogh's shorter Signet Regency efforts. The intense, repressed undercurrents, the restrictions and demands of society versus attraction, all pay of beautifully in the end - a gem of a story!
