A look at Mountain politics from the teens to the 40's from a guy who was always hanging around. Although his views are anything but journalistically non-judgmental, his insights are many. This review was written by a relative of many of the people mentioned in the book, many unfairly characterized. But the reading will be interesting, especially to students of West Virginia History.
