This is Fitzhugh's story aka "Turnip". The is a bit of a departure from the others in the Pink Carnation series as it does not switch centuries, and it IS delightful. It is part romance, mystery, adventure and most of all great fun! Oh it does have spies, and familiar characters. And Chistmas, parties, and the Duchess of Dovedale.
