Charlotte works for Nicos as his PA. She and Zander develop a kind of phone relationship while she is unaware that he is Nicos' long lost twin brother. When she finally meets him in person, of course, she realizes he is Nicos' twin. Charlotte and Zander have a short day and night affair before the truth comes out - Zander is out for revenge and Charlotte was nothing but a pleasurable tool to be used in the war.Zander's heartlessness was perhaps set up a little too well. While he felt a little different about Charlotte than all the other women whose hearts he broke, it wasn't enough to make me believe in true love. Zander and Charlotte did not spend enough time together and the chemistry between them wasn't strong enough to carry the book. Zander and Charlotte talked on the phone a handful of times, spent two days and two evenings together and had sex one night. It was too little to convince me. Plus, I wanted to see more of how Zander and Nicos developed their relationship and healed the breach.
