Beautiful gift book. Runt is a 10 year old Chinese boy who comes to America to mine and is treated badly because he is Chinese.This "fictional" diary is based on a real history on how the Chinese were treated in America. A sad but true story. Hopefully, we can learn to treat all people equally and kindly. This is a great book of American history for all ages.
