The writing seemed to be excellent, I was pulled into the story; however I don't care what day and age it is, I can't read graphic descriptions of dog fighting. I was able to cope with the wolf killing, but not the dog fighting. I was unable to finish the book as I read for pleasure and this was distrubing.
