A lot of the reviewers on Goodreads who gave this book a low rating did so because they felt that it did not do Jane Eyre justice. I have never read Jane Eyre. I am probably not even spelling "Eyre" correctly.
I really enjoyed this book. It is an honest but charming coming of age story about the importance of family, friendship, and being true to oneself.
