This was a wonderful and engaging book that would have been even better without all the profane language. This is the first book I've read by Jodi Picoult so it may not hold true for her other books, but I am always put off by gifted authors who choose to take the easy route of revealing a character's personality primarily by the number of times they can say the "F" word. After the second time, I got it...He has anger issues.
